Fixed so fast! Feels like I got a brand new door knob.
Quality:
- Workmanship did its job for a 1-day job.
- I requested fan, light, curtain rod and mirror installation. Most were installed well enough, some noticeably slanted, others look straight at a glance but can see a bit slanted if look closely. Overall, 5 out of 13 of the installed items are slanted in some way.
On-time:
- Not punctual for both appointments.
- Site visit, late at least 1 hour. Job date, late at least 1 hour 15 minutes.
Services:
- Useful mainly for labour, but for providing parts, depends.
- For pre-made parts (e.g. light, IKEA curtain rod and mirror), they can install or even provide some of it. For custom parts (e.g. plumbing fittings, fan hook), they'll expect you to buy yourself. If you’re a customer who isn’t knowledgeable with plumbing parts needed, you might want to find a separate plumber who can advise on parts needed and provide it.
- I appreciate that they lent wiping cloth my plumber (I hired separately) to help wipe water patches after sink installation, and also lent me their measuring tape for a short while. They also picked up most of their leftover trash after the job is done.
Feedback to contractor:
- Before quoting, ask the customer's decided payment method, since there's a difference in merchant fees depending on the payment method (e.g. bank transfer, TNG, Recommend Pay). Once the customer decides, it's up to you how much you want to quote.
- Carefully check and take notes during site visit so that the wrong part is not purchased (e.g. what the customer wants to install; if need to install ceiling light, is the ceiling type concrete or plaster).
- If want to ensure installation is not crooked, should measure item end to end compared to wall and mark mounting spot, not try to estimate by looking from far. Should recommend to customer upfront and adjust quotation if more time is needed for jobs.
- Not all customers have the entire day to supervise, and condos also have permitted hours for renovation, so punctuality is important. Today, very nearly can't complete all the job requested (finished with 0 minutes to go).
They went above and beyond! I had to repair a few things around the house and they were easily available, worked quickly and efficiently, and they are very trustworthy!
