Late. Appointment at 9am for an 8 hour handyman session, arrived at 12pm (went to the wrong condo). Which I have explicitly mentioned management do not allow contractor to stay beyond 5pm, and reminded him this is not a task based request, but an hourly request, so he will not be able to fulfill the 8 hours session with less than 5 hours remaining.

Arrived with 2 person instead of 1 as requested, and it’s always 2 person doing a single task, and most tasks were done to a mediocre (some below) quality.

He turns on 24 hour disappearing message on WhatsApp, make sure to change at setting or all appointment and requests messages will disappear after 24 hours.

I feel a responsibility to both the users at recommend as well as the owner of this enterprise who is trying to make a living. I think it is okay to engage them but maybe I will share my experience as it happened. He seemed very eager to do the job and also very free. Since I had a tight deadline due to emergency reasons I didn’t have many options. I suggested 11am Friday or 4pm (so as not to clash with prayers). He asked for 1pm. I said ok. At 110pm I was waiting at the premises. He messaged saying he will be late because of prayers. I had other things to do so I said come at 4pm. At 320pm i was on the way. He messaged me asking if I had an extension cord. I was 10 minutes away from home so I went back to take it and then I got stuck in bad traffic so I arrived at 5pm. He arrived even later - at 520pm. The job was very simple. Install curtain rod. It was very messy and he left hand print dirt and the pencil line still there and he did it wrong at first so I got him to redo. The second curtain rod was abit better. Maybe he got more confident. The next thing was sticking a mirror I bought on Shopee with glue and double sided tape. He put the glue but he didn’t tear out the sticky part from the tape. And tried to stick the mirror to the bathroom tiles. Of course the glue spread out everywhere.then when I told him what was wrong he corrected it but by this time it looked messy already and was uneven. The next job was to fix a towel rack. He didn’t cut the double sided tape properly and so you could see it sticking out. I had to spend another hour after they left fixing their mistakes. It was really stressful. I initially wrote a different review but he begged me to change the review so I can tell that he really needs the job. So I would say please hire him so he can improve! And he can live a happy life in Malaysia. Maybe im too soft and kind. Still pay and nice to him even though the whole process was so so stressful. But maybe they need a customer who will give them a lot of work. So I think if you have a lot of things to do and you don’t mind to guide and oversee then these are the right people for you!
