The water heater replacement took an unnecessarily long 3 days instead of the expected 4 hours because they didn't really know what they were doing. They tried reusing old pipes and ended up connecting some single flow pipes the wrong way, which stopped the water from flowing properly. Three pipe joints started leaking badly, and they tried to fix them by applying pvc pipe cement externally, which was a bad idea. I had to step in and ask them to redo everything because it was clear their work was a disaster.

They eventually called in someone else that appeared more competent to fix most of their mistakes, but a few days later, one of the pipe fittings burst. When I asked them to fix it, they blamed my new water filter, saying it was low quality and caused the burst pipes. But the truth is, they damaged it while doing a sloppy job with the piping connections. My water filter was brand new and from a good brand. Just to replace it would cost around RM200, not counting installation charges. They didn't offer any compensation and even tried to charge me for fixing the damage they caused. It's really disappointing and awful service.

In hindsight, I would be pretty shocked if any or the original plumbers had valid approvals or licenses.
