Picking an aircon in Malaysia is confusing enough with all sorts of features to consider. But one area that has become simpler is the star ratings and energy numbers. Five ticks are good, less than that; not so good. Below is SEDA’s (Sustainable Energy Development Authority) official list of every 4- and 5-star aircon approved in Malaysia. Filter by brand, star rating, or how much energy each model saves, and quickly shortlist to the brand and model you want.
Every model on this list qualifies for the government’s NUR 2026 rebate, which gives you RM200 off a 4- or 5-star aircon. It opened on 1 July, it’s first-come-first-served, and going by past years it won’t last long. One rebate per electricity account, and you choose either an aircon or a fridge, not both.
Note: This list is accurate as of 6 July 2026. After you have decided on your aircon units, make sure you find a good aircon installer in your area to install it properly and get the energy efficiency you’re paying for.
